Game of Thrones: literary series by George R.R. Martin
Have you gotten into this epic saga yet? It’s a story set in a ruthless, violent, medieval world where life is not respected, and humanity unheard of. It goes behind the scenes of a never-ending war, where you’ll discover overwhelming passion, from intense love affairs, to struggles for power, as well as deceit and betrayal.
Game of Thrones
This is the first book in the historical fantasy series that’s won us over, from avid readers to those who just follow the TV series. Author George R.R. Martin, the acclaimed American fantasy writer, released this first book in 1996.
Good and evil are inseparable in this fantasy world, which resembles the earth’s Middle Ages. The game of power and fate of nations is not determined by a select few heroes and fighters, but by an entire succession of betrayals, incest, love, and duels, through intertwining stories which fill the pages of this amazing saga. Don’t miss out on Game of Thrones in its original language.
A Clash of Kings
This worthy sequel to the first novel follows same rhythm and narrates plenty gory battles and confrontations without sparing any detail. Considered even more brutal than the first, you’ll read this second book with the same enthusiasm and want to keep coming back for more.
Read A Clash of Kings in English and thou shalt certainly learn!
A Storm of Swords
Characters begin to develop more, offering insight into the many nuances of their multifaceted personalities, and revealing the dark souls Martin loves giving to all the pieces of the great chess game that is this saga. The line between good and evil continues to blur and may confuse you as you get more and more addicted. You won’t even notice that you’re turning the page!
Very fast-paced and filled with one twist after another! Buy the third book in the series, A Storm of Swords to read in English.
A Feast for Crows
In the first three books Martin built the story up, along with its different characters, as well as the ways in which their lives intersect. This book takes on a somewhat different rhythm and style: it mainly tells about the Westelor people and events taking place in their world.
As engrossing and intriguing as the previous books, if you’ve made it this far you will not want to miss out on the rest of the series! Buy A Feast for Crows and perfect your English, once and for all!
A Dance with Dragons
This book‘s tone is a bit more in line with the classic fantasy genre: a bit of magic gives us a short respite from the gloom and doom we’ve become so accustomed to in Martin’s writing.
But before long, plenty of plot twists are introduced and everything changes, making this book quite the page-turner. It’s every bit as thrilling as the first! Don’t miss out on A Dance with Dragons in English and keep going!
